Global Night Market
Global Week is coming up, so it's time to start preparing for one of the highlights of our year, Global Night Market! SWBC Families Camp

SYC Quiz Night
Our SWBC and SYC Communities invite you to gather your friends and family for our QUIZ Night! This will be held on Saturday August 8, 7pm. There will be an auction of ‘Holiday House Mini Breaks’, mocktails and nibbles. We are putting the FUN back into Fundraising and the more people that can get there the merrier!

Alpha Marriage Course
The Alpha Marriage Course, hosted by Peter and Lynley Capon, is back again! Over seven sessions, couples talk about important issues while enjoying a date-like atmosphere and a delicious dessert. Regenesis Planting Day
We're not quite finished yet! We still have around 1,000 more trees to get into the ground before the planting season ends. Whether you've planted with us before or this will be your first time, we'd love to have you join us. Bring a spade if you have one and good sturdy shoes.
SWBC Family Disco
Celebrate the school holidays by dancing the night away at the SWBC Families Disco! For all families of preschool and primary school aged children, entry is free so invite your friends! We encourage you to BYO dinner at the start, music and dancing will kick off around 5.30pm, and there will be free iceblocks to cool off at the end. Make sure to dress up and bring your best moves too, as there will also be spot prizes!
Global Prayer Night

Enviro Conversation
Join us this Sunday as we watch and discuss an episode of Eco Disciples, A Rocha Eco Church's new short video series exploring what the Bible has to say about caring for creation. Eco Disciples has been designed for both youth and adults, so everyone is welcome. You can watch the trailer here.

Healing the Wounded Heart
Sandra Sellmer-Kersten from Elijah House is coming to South West to run a seminar on recovery from trauma called ‘Healing the Wounded Heart’. The seminar is from 9am-5pm on Friday and Saturday July 3-4 and costs $50. This is an open-to-all event, so feel free to invite friends.
AGM
Mark the AGM in your calendars now for June 25, 7pm. The AGM is open for everyone, but to be able to vote for the next year's elders you must be a member, so make sure to get along to the Membership Lunch in a couple weeks! Come early for soup and fry bread, or bring some baking on the night to share over a cuppa afterwards.
Regenesis Working Bee
Come along to help out at our Regenesis planting site. We meet on the third Sunday of each month. This is a great way to connect with each other and the land. Come along and get involved — every bit helps!

Hibburt Park Revel and Run Team Relay
For all the keen runners out there, check out the Hibburt Park Revel & Run - 24 Hour Team Relay! This inaugural event is one not to be missed - a chance to band together with family, friends, neighbours or colleagues to complete as many 5.5km laps in 24 hours as you can, all while supporting a great cause! If 24 hours sounds a bit out of your depth, fear not, there's a 6hr and a 12hr option too!

We are excited to have our current and prospective community leaders joining together for the Community Leaders Hui. We believe that God is calling us as a church to experience and share Jesus’ love in our little part of the world, and to see people’s lives and our communities transformed. Join us again this Pentecost weekend for an amazing night of prayer and worship. There will be prayer stations set up in the foyer, as well as worship in the Auditorium.
Regenesis Planting Day
After last year’s incredible effort, Regenesis planting day is back and we need all hands on deck to start planting this year's 3800 trees!
Join us on Saturday May 16 at the Cashmere Rd planting site (opposite Bushland Pl), two sessions available to sign up for - 9am-12pm and 1-4pm. There will be a picnic and sausage sizzle in between, come for one session or stay for both. Sign up here.

Mother’s Day
This Sunday is Mother's Day, and we want to honour mothers in all forms. Whether you are a mum by birth, adoptive mum, foster mum, grandmother, stepmother, aunty, single mum, spiritual mum, mum to angel babies, waiting to become a mum, or missing your own mum, we want to honour and celebrate you this Sunday. There is free coffee after the morning gathering for all the mums in our lives, make sure to grab a voucher on the way out.
Ōpāwaho River Clean Up
This is a community-wide event on Saturday May 9 — the aim is to clean up rubbish from the margins of these waterways, essentially giving creation the gift of a clean river for Mother's Day! For the ninth year SWBC has committed to arranging the clean-up for two sections of the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River, and we need some help.
Spirit Empowered Evangelism
For those who missed the Absaloms weekend, or want a refresher, Claire is holding a Spirit-Empowered Evangelism session on Sunday May 3, 3.30-5pm. This will cover the content that was shared at the conference, no sign up required, just head along!
