Welcome to church!
Are you visiting or new to South West?
This is a great place to start.
If you’re curious about faith, or wondering what it means to follow Jesus, we’d be happy to kōrero about following Jesus together.
Jesus is at the centre of all that we do and believe. Jesus loves you, and journeying with Jesus shows us the way to live life to the full.
If you would like someone to contact you, please fill out our Welcome form and we’ll be in touch. You can also download our info pack, come along to a Discovery Course to find out more about South West, or chat to someone at one of our gatherings and go from there!

Next steps in your journey with Jesus
We are a church on a journey and would love to go on this adventure with you! Believing in God and choosing to follow Jesus is one of the best decisions you will ever make. Getting to know God and learning to live each day with Him is a lifelong journey. Here are some practical next steps we recommend to help you grow in your faith:
Alpha
The Alpha Course creates a space for conversation about life, faith and Jesus.
Alpha is refreshing, relaxed and relational.
Each session starts with dessert and a catch-up on the week, followed by a short video (preview here) and kōrero (conversation).
Alpha Courses start each April and August.
To register your interest in joining Alpha click below or email us if you have any questions.
Reading the Bible with others
The Bible is a love story full of history, poetry, wisdom and hope. It is God’s Word to us and, when we apply it to our lives, it helps to grow our relationship with Jesus.
If you don’t have a Bible, we can hook you up with one! Have a chat to someone at the Welcome Centre on Sunday or get in touch.
We use Discovery Bible Method, which is a simple, yet powerful way to read the Bible with others.
Baptism
Baptism is a significant part of our journey of transformation with God.
If you’ve made the decision to be a follower of Jesus, then baptism is the next step. It is a way to join the family of believers, and often is a time when people have a significant encounter with God.
If you’re interested in baptism have a read through our baptism booklet and get in touch to take the next step.
Prayer
Prayer is a natural and powerful way to connect with God.
We have teams of people who are gifted and trained to pray for others. You can find them up the front at the end of each Sunday gathering. You can also access prayer by getting in touch with the prayer team.
Care
When life gets hard, and you can’t see the forest for the trees, sometimes all you need is a helping hand and a listening ear.
Our pastoral care team can meet with you, get to know your story, and help to connect you with support.
