Community Team Member
Do you like to make people feel welcomed, to help them find places to belong? Do you dream of working alongside our ministries to help them flourish? Then we have the role for you! An exciting fixed-term role covering parental leave is coming up in the Community Team in the areas of welcoming, belonging and ministries. We’re looking for someone to produce our media content (think online gatherings, podcasts, promo videos) and hold responsibility for our media equipment. If you love telling stories, editing video files, and training up others, we’d love to hear from you. SYC and South West Baptist are on the hunt for a passionate Youth Pastor to come and join our youth team. Our vision is to bring Jesus’ life, colour, and hope. Through this, we hope to see young people experience faith and come to know Jesus. Part of the role will be to coordinate one of our weekly youth programmes, be a 24-7 Youth Worker in one of our local schools and add value to the team at SYC. 24-7YW Waitaha (Canterbury) Administrator
We have an amazing opportunity for someone to join the SYC and 24-7Youth Work team as we continue to develop and grow the presence of 24-7YW around Waitaha (Canterbury) partnered well with 24-7YW across Aotearoa (NZ). This role is for 10-14 hours a week (negotiable) and provides administrative and organisational support to the 24-7YW Waitaha Region and the Waitaha Regional Coordinator (WRC) and involves working collaboratively with the WRC to best serve the 38 schools across the region that have 24-7YW. The Living Room
We are excited about things opening up and the continuing return of energy and life on site. We are planning ahead for the future and preparing our wonderful hospitality space (The Living Room). We know that people love to meet together for connection and belonging…not to mention the best hot chips around!
We are looking for people to join our team who love bringing people together, creating warm and inviting spaces for them to connect, and organising teams to help make this happen. We have numerous opportunities to volunteer on a rostered basis and a paid position available for a Sunday Duty Manager. If you’re interested in this position, we’d love to hear from you.
Chair Set Up & Pack Down
We are currently looking for groups or individual volunteers to help with setting up and packing away the chairs in our Lyttelton St site Gym before and after our Sunday morning gathering. Get in touch with Matt if you could help.

SHARP Manager and Holiday Programme Coordinator
SHARP Trust is looking for a visionary leader to take the position of Trust Manager and Holiday Programme Coordinator. The successful applicant must be able to:
– Relate to a wide range of ages (children, high school students, young adults and parents) and backgrounds.
– Have a passion for kids, leadership development and being creative.
– Show they have the ability to develop and grow programmes.
– Develop a volunteer culture.
There will be a preference for those with a teaching qualification and driver’s license.

SHARP Leaders & Van Drivers
Sharp is on the lookout for quality people to lead in our after-school and holiday programmes. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, we would love to hear from you! We are also looking for people to help with our after-school care pick-ups. We pick up from a number of schools within our community.
