Our Kindergarten opened in September 2011, as an extension to the Spreydon Baptist Community Early Learning Centres run by the Building Blocks Community Trust. It is open to all families in the community and provides a secure atmosphere where children learn new skills and experience a wide range of events and activities.
The Christian philosophy is an integral part of our programme and is relayed to the children through activities and interactions throughout the day. The activities, equipment and events have been chosen to meet the specific learning needs of three – five year old children.
There is time for self choice play where children may choose to play alone or in groups and opportunities for children to join organised group games or projects where social skills such as turn taking, conversation and understanding rules will be practiced and fostered. We offer an active learning programme in a warm caring environment, where the developmental and emotional needs of your child can be met. Children are taught how to respect, love and care for each other.
We welcome all two to five year olds and offer the up to 20 hrs ECE with a maximum of six hours free per day.
Our fee structure is available onsite, we purposely try to keep our fees low to support our local community families.
