November 12 & 19
Kia ora and welcome,
Welcome to Mike Pilavachi and his team who will be sharing a naturally supernatural way to live on Saturday November 11 and Sunday November 12. We have been looking forward to your coming for three years!
Thanks for all the support and input around our church offering to support a refugee family in the new scheme proposed by the Government. Our application has now been submitted. We will let you know when we hear a reply.
Chris Heuertz will be with us on Saturday November 25 for The Enneagram Workshop. I first learnt about the Enneagram around 20 years ago and have used those learnings in my personal life, prayer life and interactions with others ever since. It would be amongst the most helpful insight I have ever been introduced to. So far there has been high interest in this but there is still space if you want to sign up – see www.swbc.org.nz/enneagram
James Haylock is going to be joining our Living Room team. He will be developing some teams to enable us to have the Living Room open on Sunday nights after our evening gathering. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting the Living Room, those who have joined a team to help and used the space to include and welcome others. It’s our living room – let’s use it.
Christmas for the City is fast approaching and we need people to volunteer to be part of it. It looks like a superb event and new way to celebrate together Jesus’ coming. It is a free event that people from across the city can enjoy and be part of. To find out more see christmasforthecity.org.nz
There are many people who help keep this church alive, so many, it is hard to know where to begin. One group I very much appreciate are the teams that set up the chairs and stage every Sunday morning, our sound techs who come in early to set up the sound gear and the musicians who arrive at 7:30am to practice, pray and get ready for when you arrive. Thank you to you all!
Grace and peace,

Thank you for your faithful financial giving to our church. It is encouraging to see that giving has increased in October. As you can see from the graph, we are still behind budget for the year, however, our cost centre managers are continuing to be prudent, therefore expenses are also lower than budgeted.

Chad is a large country in North Africa which faces complex issues of poverty, climate change and conflict on its borders.
This year, the rainfall throughout the region has been poor, which means that many people are facing the dry season without sufficient plant growth to sustain them or their livestock. Please pray for Chad and our people there:
Pray that God would protect the people of Chad from famine and drought – providing food and rain. Pray that the country would be stable and secure, and that the many people of Chad would come to know the love of God their Father.Pray for Matt as he works on a project to provide a village with a well. Pray it would go smoothly and that it would give sufficient water to the community.
Pray for Ruth as she learns language, provides medical care, and homeschools the children – pray for energy, good health and a growing ability to communicate with those around them.
Pray for Josh, Ben and Hannah – that they would have good health, good friends, and be able to thrive in Chad.
