Men’s Breakfast! Do the men in your house have a ticket yet?

March 6 & 13

Easter is fast approaching. Our Easter preaching series will begin on Sunday March 13. This year our youth teams plus many musicians, cooks, doctors and security people from the church will be very involved in supporting Easter Camp. On Good Friday, here at South West, we will have a contemplative ‘Stations of the Cross’ interactive walk through. This will be great for families who can do it together and really get inside the Easter Story. On Easter Sunday we will have services at 9am & 11am at the Spreydon site.On Wednesday March 9 we have our whole church prayer time from 7.30pm at the Halswell site. This is a time to talk through some of the exciting and challenging issues facing the church and pray through these together. Everyone welcome!

This year is the 150th anniversary of our church and we are planning a celebration weekend on October 15 and 16. We are keen to hear your thoughts on how we might celebrate the 150th. Some of the things we are considering are a church family event and an all in service or series of services across the Sunday. What are your ideas and thoughts. If you have suggestions please email them to Ros at rmarch@swbc.org.nz. Thank you!

GLOBAL PRAYER FOCUS
India
India has been in the news this week as the 2016 budget was presented. The finance minister announced plans to “transform India for the benefit of the farmers, the poor and the vulnerable.”

  • Please pray that this would be the case, that the leadership of India would remember the poor as they make laws.
  • Pray that true and lasting transformation would come to communities of poor in the mega cities of India and that our work would be part of seeing God’s love and power bring hope, change and joy.
